The weekend of Dec. 18th we celebrated Christmas with Eric's family. Chris and his family traveled in from North Carolina for a busy weekend. Friday evening we all attended a Fort Wayne Komets hockey game. Eric's mom, Georgette, was so excited to go she would ask the staff at St. Anne's daily if it was the day to go to the game yet. She was smiled the whole game and even tried to get the goalie's attention as she sat along the glass. You see, the Komets goalie has the same last name as her maiden name - Boucher. The boys made her a sign and during a break in action, Charlie knocked on the glass as the goalie skated their direction. The goalie glanced over and when he saw the sign, he gave Georgette a big smile and nod. The favorite part for the kids seemed to be the 2 fights that happened in the game. You could hear them chant "FIGHT" when someone would get a little pushy. Below are some pictures from the night out.

On Saturday, we got together for dinner and then over to St. Anne's for our Christmas celebration. The night was full of presents, stories and a game of BINGO. Everyone enjoyed spending some time together. On Sunday, the group went to the movies to see "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs." We then went to the Big Eyed Fish for dinner before the weekend celebrations were over. Everyone really enjoyed spending time together.

The week prior, Eric's dad, Tom, and his wife, Mary, made a trip back to Indiana due to the death of Mary's mother. On Saturday evening we got together with his dad and aunts in Huntington. We enjoyed dinner at Pizza Hut and then spending time sharing stories at Aunt Susie's house. Although it was short visit, it was great to see Tom and Mary.
